Moriah began her nursing career in 2002, working as a Registered Nurse for nine years before completing a Master of Science in Nursing degree at University of South Alabama. She has been a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant since 2009. Recognizing the importance healthy eating plays in good health, Moriah is working toward a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist certification from the American College of Culinary Medicine. While continuing education has led Moriah to pursue programs across the country, she grew up in Nacogdoches County, graduated from Woden High School, and attended Panola College and Stephen F. Austin State University to earn an undergraduate degree in nursing.
Moriah fulfills a variety of patient needs, though she realized early in her career that she had a special passion for helping mothers and their babies navigate one of the most exciting and stressful times of their lives. She now finds particular joy in helping a mother overcome breastfeeding difficulties and find success in lactation. Moriah is active in New Hope Church, and she has served on various boards and clubs at Woden ISD. Moriah has two children attending college, one studies at Stephen F. Austin Statue University and the other is a student at LeTourneau University. Her family farm has five dogs, two cats, a horse and plenty of cattle.
Kristin graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from UT Health Science Center in Houston in 2019. In 2024, she completed training to become a Certified Lactation Specialist. Inspired by her grandmother, who was an RN in the 1950s, Kristin’s nursing background includes labor and delivery, nursery and intensive care.
Kristin provides a variety of services, from well-child checks to sick visits to sports physicals, and focuses on helping educate parents so they can feel empowered to care for their children and make safe and informed decisions for their families. Her favorite part of the job is performing newborn exams. “I love seeing the excitement and pride new parents have for their babies,” she said. Kristin and her husband have two children, a girl and a boy. She enjoys going to Pilates on the weekend and a good cup of coffee.
